Introduction/Presenter: Angela Willcocks an artist with a studio on Atlantic Ave. and

59th will be sharing her experience teaching and promoting art in Uptown for the last two years.


7:40 Main Speaker – Tasha Hunter, P-Bid Director – Tasha is the new Executive Director of the Uptown Business Improvement District (BID). She will be explaining to us her role in leading the Uptown P-BID, future plans as well an engaging with us in ways we can partner with the BID to promote our community!

Announcements: Our next Board Meeting is Monday March 21 at 7:00pm…167 R. South St. all are welcome to join us.

Next clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 23 (The day after Earth Day)!

A big thank-you to the all the people who came out in February to our first neighborhood clean-up of the year and to the “We Love Long Beach” breakfast. It was definitely a success thanks to all of your hard work and commitment to your community!



Our Speaker in April is from the Water Dept. Harry Saltzgaver

Tentatively our speaker in May will be Mayor Robert Garcia

**DPNA needs your help!

We are asking for residents to volunteer a few hours a month to help their neighborhood. There are roles for everyone regardless of ability including:

  1. Event planning committee (music, movies, community socials… etc)
  2. Fundraising committee
  3. Welcoming new residents (Welcome Wagon) with Pres, Vice Pres. etc representing DPNA…
  4. Neighborhood “Green Team” to coordinate clean-ups

If you would like to help with these or other projects send us an email!!!
