Back by popular demand, the Deforest Park Neighborhood Association has invited representatives from several different local media outlets including: Signal Tribune, Long Beach Press-Telegram, Gazette Newspapers and Long Beach Local News

Do you ever wonder how they choose certain stories or how to contact your local news sources?  This is an opportunity for the community to meet the written and online media as well as get an understanding of the best way to get press releases and response to events as well as find out what they do and how they represent the community.

Come out, meet your local news reporters and find out how we can work with our local media outlets to positively promote our neighborhood and community!

CA Assemblymaker Mike Gipson is also scheduled to make a visit and speak to us about what is going on in the CA Assembly and answer questions you may have.

The DeForest Park Neighborhood Association is an active neighborhood group based in Uptown (North) Long Beach. We hold meetings each month that are open to the public.  Each meeting focuses on different issues that are relevant to our community.  We host a number of activities each year to increase community engagement and improve the quality of life for our neighbors. We also support and partner with other local community organizations and officials to collectively uplift our community. DPNA meets the third Thursday of every month (except December) at the DeForest Park Clubhouse located at 6255 DeForest Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90805.
